The optional Hill Hold Control (HHC) prevents the motorcycle from accidentally rolling backwards. It identifies if the bike is on a slope and at a standstill. After the rider has released the brake the function automatically keeps the brakes applied until you are moving forward. In short: a smooth take-off time and time again.

The optionally available Motor Slip Regulation (MSR) works in the opposite direction of the MTC. If due to quick downshifts or abrupt throttle chopping the engine drag torque is too high the ride-by-wire system opens the throttle exactly as much as is needed to prevent the rear wheel from drifting. With the help of MSC this system is also lean-angle sensitive. Safety first but the pleasure that comes with it is always a very close second at KTM.

Maximum safety for offroad tours:

In order to achieve optimal brake effectiveness offroad as well the ABS control range starts slightly later than on asphalt. In this way the rear wheel embeds itself in the surface and improves the brake power offroad. The control of the front brake allows for a longer delay without adversely affecting stability.

The following part is additionally required for permanent activation of the function:

After enabling by your authorized KTM dealer the following functions can be used:

• Hill hold control (HHC)
• Motor slip regulation (MSR)
• QUICKSHIFTER+

The ABS dongle enables additional features in the ABS control unit.

• ABS mode Supermoto :
  • The ABS function is only active on the front wheel (single-channel ABS). The rear wheel can lock at any time without ABS controlling the braking procedure.
• ABS mode Off :
  • The ABS function is switched off it remains deactivated even after switching the ignition back on. The front and rear wheels can lock at any time without ABS controlling the braking procedure.

Leaving the ABS functions activated is recommend on public roads!
